PCBC Funduro 2019

What is a Funduro

The Funduro is an event for everyone young to old, who loves riding their Mountain bikes, cruising up the hills and racing down. That’s right you are only timed on the “down” section.  Timing will use Strava (hence Funduro), so you will need a smart phone with the Strava app. to compete in this event.

You will be provided with a map before the race and you select your own route to complete (in any order) the 6-7 ‘Race Stages’ within 4 hours.  The race stages selected are a combination of flowing and technical Grade 3 and Grade 4 single track.

One of our major sponsors – Hot Cycles will also be there on the day with some Demo bikes that you can take for a spin.

NOTE: There is a chance the forest will be closed before this race and if this is the case you must not enter the forest at any time to practice. The forest will only be open on race day – 8th December 2019. Entering the forest when it is closed could compromise this event going a head.
