We’ve got the first lot of bikes from Torpedo 7 for our charity project this year that involves getting 20 Manaurewa High School women into mountain biking. The Marlin 5 bikes are great little hardtails but like all cheaper bikes the tyres aren’t great. Fine for gravel and bridleway type riding but you wouldn't want to ride slippery Native Addiction with those! Tyres are expensive so if you have an 29er tyres lying around that aren’t cutting the mustard anymore on your 12K carbon fibre Yeti/SantaCruz/etc but still have plenty of life in them can you drop them over the gate at Rewa rd and the we give these puppies some new shoes ! ... Shuttles are starting back tomorrow evening. 5pm start from Rewa Road gate, otherwise meet at shuttle pick up at the bottom of Trig Road (main road to container). You will need to purchase a shuttle pass to use the shuttle - 6 rides for $20 or 18 rides for $50. Bring cash to pay the driver or put money in our account and show driver proof of purchase (preferable option). If you are not a shuttle person and prefer the grind up, please note that Trig Road is closed from 5pm and so are the following trails:- Screamers- Upper Nile- Fools Gold- Prospectors- Two Dead Cows- Scrub cutter Cheers ... Level 3 peoples - if entering the forest please scan our QR code before entering (will be put up at entrance of Rewa Road and Okaroro Roads - there will be one at the container for those that forget when entering), only bike with people in your bubble and practice social distancing with all others. Be safe out there. On another note, we have updated our website and it will be kept up to date. We will be having a video of the month that features our trails, so if you have any great footage of ya slaying the trails in Maraetai send us the video or the link to youtube. You may make it onto our website. Note: this does not open the floor for you to head in with your buddies during level 3 to capture footage. Keep to your bubbles. ... See MoreSee Less
