Latest Update from Europe

Blake Ross was super stoked to come away with the win at his first race over here in Europe at IXS CUP u17 (Glemmride Bike Festival).  He seeded 2nd then went 10 secs quicker in his race run.  He has a couple of days practice at Leogang then he’s off to Germany for race 2 this weekend.  Good luck!

The Lenzerheide World Cup produced a mixed bag for the kiwi riders and you can read more here.

Josh Oxenham went down on his qualifying run and was helicoptered out but pleased to hear he was back up and walking  to watch the final the next day.  Check out his helmet though.

Charlotte Rayner finished in the under 23 xc at 42nd place having had a NZ vs Os battle. With a dropped chain after fighting hard uphill to remain on Holly’s wheel, she managed to catch back up and was only 3 seconds down on Holly when they were 80% out.

James Kirkham also raced his first race and finished in 127th place – with approx 140 racers.  That’s pretty tough going.  Well done James.

Sounds like Europe has been a great experience for you all and we can’t wait to meet you all back in the forest when you get back home!
