Frequently asked questions

Do we ride in wet weather?

We rarely cancel due to wet weather.

Any decision to cancel will be made by Noon the day of the ride and we will let riders and volunteers know via facebook and email.

Riding in wet weather conditions can damage some tracks and so we will issue guidance on what tracks can be ridden on the day of the ride.

If weather conditions are bad and we cannot ride the tracks, we will have a fitness ride on the forestry roads.

Something has come up and I can’t attend this week.  Who should I let know?

Please let us know at if you are unable to attend a session.

If you are no longer able to participate in the academy, please let us know as soon as possible so we can give the space to another rider.  There are limited spaces and alot of interest in the group!

Will the academy go ahead with covid restrictions?

We have protocols in place for riding once we are at step 2 of the Covid roadmap that was released on 4/10/2021.  The safety and wellbeing of our volunteers and riders is of most importance.

Riders with any cold/Covid symptoms must stay home and cannot ride with the group.  If you have a rider with cold/covid symptoms they will need to be sent home, out of respect and safety for our other riders/volunteers.
